Francesca grew up between Emilia Romagna and Ligura. Since her childhood, she has loved doing whatever crosses her mind. She is self-taught and loves playing, drawing, creating, building, making a mess and getting her hands dirty. Creating is a physiological need for her. She uses everything she find and believes that things “must” not be done in a certain way. Rather, they “can” be done.
After a troubled adolescence, full of extreme experiences, she returned from an enlightening trip to Palermo with the need of beginning a path of refinement of her attitudes. She graduated in stage design fot theatre at the Academy of fine Arts. She also pursued a childhood passion by taking a course in experimental animated cinema. She drew some short movies and produced their sound through an obsolete drum machine and free source recording software. After being asked to project her short films at a concert she felt the need of pursuing a less self-referential aesthetics, adapting content and the way to perform it to the particular context of each show.
Francesca found her natural habitat in live shows. In particular, she appreciates their multidisciplinary nature and the collaboration among different professionals to produce an impactful experience for the audience. Alone or collaborating with some collectives she participated to and organised numerous concerts and rave parties for which she designs and builds light installations and performs live vj set.
After a long pause due to pandemic restrictions, she decided to continue her education with the aim of better understanding and being able to manage all dimensions of a show, so she studied in a recording studio and in a Opera theatre and she is now sound and light technician.
